School Choice Week — Kindness Initiative

New Story’s Indiana School had a busy, fun-filled week from January 22-26. The students gathered together each day of the week to enjoy a school breakfast. While the students dined, they had the opportunity to listen to a presentation from their school counselors, Stacy Vetter and Kelly Blair. The overall message of the counselors’ presentations was the importance of being kind to one another.

The students also participated in some arts and crafts to celebrate School Choice Week, including decorating bulletin boards and taking the time to spice up one another’s lockers with kind messages, stickers and name tags. Pictures of the locker decorations can be seen in the video below:

To wrap up the week and to show the students appreciation for their participation in celebrating School Choice Week and showing kindness to one another, the counselors presented the students with Kindness Awards. Each student received a unique award and a School Choice Week scarf. Pictures of the Kindness Awards Ceremony can be seen in the video below:
